Among the fifty assorted guests are the lovely Gloriana Fullbrush, actress and egomaniac; Lush Martino, celebrity and amnesiac; Delicious O'Hara, stripper;and the moronic Shag McKnee (sic), his pop group and homicidal parrot, Marlon. Feverishly the crew prepare themselves for the exhausting ordeal that awaits them on the ground, while Captain 'Cock-Up' Rossiter morbidly prophesises doom at the hands of Arnold Bottum, the velvet-suited publicity vampire who is to mastermind their London visit. Awaiting them is a team of nubile journalists and the globular and obnoxious Bobby Shafto, who will unleash his guests to a TV audience on a merry-go-round of bile and innuendo.
So join Glamour Airlines on this monstrous itinerary, and place yourself once again in the friendly, capablehands of the Fly Boys; let those lighter-than-air hostesses escort you through the hatch, and unfasten your seat belts for the most turbulent take-off in flying history!
PAPERBACK: GLAMOUR AIRLINES OUTSTRIPS ALL COMERS!
It's the maiden flight of Glamour Airlines - so where are all the virgins? Certainly not on board "Glamour Puss", the nipple-pink Boeing now touching down at Heathrow. The passenger list is full of nymphos and lush-heads, all girding up their loins for the first round of a week-long publicity spree. There's actress Gloriana Fullbrush, out to air her ego; celebrity Lush Martino, out to air his thirst; and stripper Delicious O'Hara out to air her pair. Then there's second officer Crighton-Padgett, the stud-with-blue-blood, and his buddy, Ramjet Rogers, who dreams of things to come. Like the clutch of dolly journalists on the ground, all dying to get stuck into something...
So hop into bedlam once more with THE FLY BOYS IN LONDON, the sensational sequel to THE FLY BOYS by the author of the RUSS TOBIN novels.

Hardback: Quite possibly the same cheeky looking air stew that featured on the front of the first novel in the trilogy but this time she's not blowing us a kiss and looks like she's had enough of wearing the daft hat! 5/10
Paperback: Essentially the same cover as the Hardback edition except that the authors name is now in lower case and some extra text plugs the Russ Tobin connection. 5/10
The Odhams omnibus has a line drawing on the front sheet featuring a woman straddling an anxious looking fella (possibly anxious because the world has now seen him in some unflattering y-fronts?)! No references to air travel at all! 3/10
Carrying on the slapstick style of the first Fly-Boys book, the ultra-unenthusiastic Captain Cock-Up Rossiter continues to be the best character in the series by far, leaving all the others to seem a bit cliched. The plane lands in London at the start of the book and then all the action takes place on the ground, finally lifting of again at the end of the story having gone through the usual scrapes and sordid hotel shenanigans along the way!
6/10 - Probably my least favourite of the 3 Fly Boys books, mainly as it seems like the story is treading water slightly with more exciting adventures to come. In actual fact very little happens. They land in London, they get ferried about to a few promotional engagements and then a fairly dull prank leads to some extra publicity. Then they take off again. When you look at the number of books Stan was writing at this point it's little wonder it feels like he phoned this one in.
